The company
Our company was formed Dr. Hansjoerg Brombach in 1977 in Bad Mergentheim, Germany. The starting capital consisted of patents arising from research on 'FLUIDICS'. These are devices which without moving parts, can automatically regulate the flow of any fluid in response to the strength of the current. This initial research mirrors the activity of the firm today, with innovations like the Vortex Flow Control and the Vortex Valve we have specialised in the control of stormwater and sewerage flows.
This specialisation has developed to include all methods and technology used to best protect any given water flow from pollution by impure storm water and sewerage in towns, cities, roads, motorways and industrial areas.
The UFT group has made a significant contribution in the field of water protection. Alone in Germany, devices and procedures from our company operate in over 10 000 water treatment facilities. This leadership in water technology conveys a fundamental understanding of the problems and the hydraulic methods used in town and city hydrology.
UFT is composed of five specialist divisions: Hydro-Mechanics HM, Electrical Engineering E, Process Control PLT, Service & Maintenance S&W, and Scientific Services WD. The team work of these specialist divisions effects a synergy that results in the processing and solution of the most complex assignments.
The UFT group has branches, subsidiaries and licensed partners in Europe, America and the Far East. The company is 100% privately owned, is lead and managed by senior engineers and managers on partnership principles.
Through close collaboration with our industrial, construction and innovative business partners as well as scientific research with international contacts, we can guarantee that our products and technology are at the leading edge of storm water and sewerage technology.
Our customers include town and city councils, community groups, water and sewerage authorities, motorway and road authorities, industrial firms, treatment facility construction firms, building firms and private individuals.
In the planning phase of water and sewerage control facilities we advise engineers, civil engineers and district land offices. On numerous occasions we have been contracted by the federal , state and local government to prepare evaluations, guidelines and brochures.
